Finding out what your guests tastes are is the most important part of deciding on your song play lists. I have personally attended countless weddings where the music was completely not what the audience wanted to hear. Jazz bands playing at a young couples weddings, rock bands for elderly couples, we have seen it all. Try to just think about something which is middle of the road and everyone can enjoy in equal measures. It might not be exactly to your tastes but the wedding isn’t just about the bride is it? Picking the best Wedding Reception Music can make the difference between an average and a great party. Why not make a survey of your guests and find out what the most common artists are that they pick. Then draw up your songs list upon what your friends and family say.
Choosing appropriate Wedding Reception Music
March 12th, 2012 by adminCosts involved with a UK Wedding in 2012
February 3rd, 2012 by adminChoosing the right venue is crucial when planning your special day. The whole ambience of the event is set by the surrounding so you really to have think long and hard about where you are going to hold your ceremony, reception and breakfast. Have a look at these Wedding Venue Prices for a rough idea of the costs involved with the booking of a venue. There are so many to choose from these days from a village hall (around £200 for the evening) or a top hotel (up to £10,000 for the evening), there are so many many choices to suit every budget.
The Dress
What is more important to a bride than what she is wearing? It really is imperative that the correct decisions are made when choosing a dress as they are by no means cheap! The average price paid for a wedding dress in 2011 was £540. Whilst this is not astronomical, it is quite a substantial part of your budget for one persons attire. The actual cost can vary from anywhere between £200 and £15,000. There are of course cheaper ways to do things, wearing your mother’s vintage dress for example. Have a look at these Wedding Dress Prices.
The Party
A good party is the part of the wedding where everyone relaxes and gets to know each other better. It really is worth spending a lot of time planning a good reception for your guests. There are quite a few individual costs which make up the evening party. These Wedding Reception Prices show some of those individual costs laid out for easy navigation. Pick some good evening entertainment to get your guests up and dancing. There’s nothing worse than an empty dance floor by 9.30!
Other Costs
The average costs involved when planning your wedding budget are varied and come in all shapes and sizes. Transport is another major cost which must be factored in, alongside the dress, transport comes in the middle price bracket. A band can be a good idea for the evening party although a DJ can sometimes prove that little bit cheaper, obviously one person needs to get paid relatively less than a four. Another expense that needs to be thought about is the ceremony itself. This part of your day is usually not ridiculously expensive but a lot of little things can definitely add up quickly.

Wedding Ceremony Prices – Wedding Ceremony Music
January 5th, 2012 by adminWedding Ceremony Prices are extremely difficult to find some times.
Not many companies out there actually advertise the exact cost of their services or products as its seems that they are always changing depending on different and occasionally complicated reasons. Have a look at these Wedding Ceremony Prices to give yourself a guideline of what you are going to have to spend. Always leave a margin of error for every cost in your budget as sometimes you will get carried away and want all the “bells and whistles” whereas other times you might decide you just want the basic package.
When it come to Wedding Ceremony Music we have always found that good planning and organisation are the key. Organising the evening party or wedding reception can be a tough job. We often recommend some sort of lively band who will get your guests on the dance floor. You don’t want to get to 9pm on your most special day to find everyone outside because they don’t like the music. Choose a good dj for your party, unfortunately this sometimes means an expensive DJ. Depending on your venue you may find that your your wedding ceremony is much easier to plan!
Christmas Weddings
December 18th, 2011 by adminHaving your marriage ceremony at Christmas time can really be wonderful! Is a wedding at Christmas any more expensive than a similar event held in, for example, April?
Our research has shown that if you hold your wedding on 24th, 25th or 26th December then it will cost you more. Everyone expects to get paid more if they work on xmas day! Even the venue will have a surcharge to cover their extra costs.
So basically, if your budget is tigjt we would suggest that you dont plan a Christmas wedding… just wait untill January!
Celebrity Weddings, Engagements and Divorces!
November 12th, 2011 by adminAt the moment we are totally transfixed by the world of celebrity weddings, engagements and divorces! There is just so much juicy gossip out there at the moment that we just can’t help ourselves. First there was the Royal Wedding in the summer, and how amazing was that? Then came Kim Kardashian’s decision to file for divorce after just 72 days of marriage to Kris Humphries. Wow! Did I not see that coming! What a great spectacle for us celebrity watchers. The whole thing has just gotten much juicier with the news that Kris had no idea what was going on at all and was completely “blind-sided” by the whole thing.
This was all topped off recently by a decidedly less glamorous celebrity marriage! Robin Williams (the comedy actor) is finally married to his long term fiancée Susan Schneider. Good luck to you Robin and please keep making more funny films!

Church Wedding Fees
October 2nd, 2011 by adminSo… as a recent poster in the forum asked, how much does a church wedding ceremony cost? The Church of England is currently quoting £321.50 for a service where two set of banns are needed. The fees basically break down to the publication of the banns, the service itself and the vicar`s time. We actually think that this price is pretty reasonable. There are of course add ons which will increase the costs but these are to be expected. If you are having a simple service then you should be fine.
Different churches do vary in price a bit with the Catholic church coming out a bit more expensive whereas the Methodist church`s fees are a little lower than the C of E. The best thing to do is find a nice church (or cathedral if you fancy splashing out) and speak to the vicar in person to get a quote. I am sure regular members of a congregation would get some sort of discount as well.
